Information We Collect

• Location Data: We use your device GPS to show your position, record tracks, and power the rangefinder. Track location data is stored in your account.
• Camera: We use the camera only for the AR feature, which overlays map pins on your camera view. No photos or videos are captured or stored.
• Account Information: We store your email address and authentication credentials through Firebase Authentication.
• User-Generated Content: Custom pins and GPS tracks you create are stored in Firebase Firestore, associated with your account.

How Information Is Used

• To provide the core features: mapping, navigation, pins, and track recording.
• To sync your data across your devices.
• To enable offline maps.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your data is processed by these providers:

• Firebase (Google) for authentication and data storage.
• Mapbox for map services.
• RevenueCat for subscription management.

Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active. You can delete your pins and tracks in the app.

Terms of Service

Talus is provided under the standard end-user license agreement for each app store: Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement for the App Store, and the Google Play Terms of Service for Google Play. Your pins, tracks, and account data are yours, stored to sync across your devices, and never sold.
